Strong & Powerful Women, Together

 

I'm certain I've said it before, but here it is again: I love park people. I love people that show up day after day because they find in the open air, amongst the trees, a place that inspires them, rejuvenates them, or even consoles them.These women were that and so much more.

I took these photos of these four ladies because I was so awed by them. There is SO MUCH spoken in this moment. These four friends arranged to meet at the park, they coordinated equipment to bring (towels, hand weights), and they showed up for themselves and for each other. Led through exercises by the woman in the front, these women were strong -- and getting stronger -- together. 

And there's lessons here, no? LIFE lessons. Lessons that we need to share our talents if we have them and that we need the humility and courage to be led by others who can help us achieve and learn. In either role, there is strength. There are moments, of course, that we need to bike or run or walk in the park (in life!) on our own -- to be there as individuals for our own needs. But there are times, too, when the togetherness is power and growth and opportunity AND just some simple FUN, too.
