The Gift of These Virus Days (A Guest Submission)

Weighing on me -- and I am certain on most parents these days -- is the persistent fear of the effects this period of isolation will have on the mental wellbeing of our children.  But there is salvation to these worries -- captured in moments like this -- evidence of opportunity.  In this guest submitted photo siblings create their own moments of intimacy and connection -- moments that this unique time presents, perhaps, as a gift that otherwise might not have been. 

This photo is, for me, a call -- challenging though it certainly feels most moments! -- to embrace the time. As we lament the disruption of our routines, can find peace in the pause to avail ourselves of the moments of chance to be with and to feel in the energies around us, to laze in the warmth of connectedness with the ones we love?
